Wedding report

All of this wedding hoopla wore this old married lady out so I m not too chatty tonight.  Enjoy it while it lasts!  🙂

Everything went very well.  The children looked beautiful and performed so well.  Oh!  The bride was not too bad herself.  The Lad did struggle with the smiling issue but one of the aunts kept making jokes with him and cousin Philip sat down and had a good heart to heart with him.  The topic?  All things a 9 year old boy loves.  Philip, you are my hero for the day!  Thanks!

Take a look at this pic – is it pitiful or what?  I took one look at this child and his pouty lip and almost hyperventilated imagining my dream from last night was in the midst of unfolding.  But then in walked big cousin Philip.  Did I mention he saved the day?

Fortunately a little later things were looking up.  This is the Lad with Dad and Philip (my hero).

And while The Lad was not too keen on such things as, say, smiling or posing, our two little ladies (and they certainly looked like little ladies) were having a ball thinking they were princesses for the day (or year).

One last photo.  This is the Husband’s grandmother with her three children.  The man between grandmother and Gran (the husband’s mom) is the father of the groom.

Sean is supposed to be a ring bearer later this month. We took him to get him fitted for his tux and we’ve been talking it up and how much fun it will be and how he will walk down the aisle with his little cousin, the flower girl. Apparently he had been ruminating (or stewing) over that because recently he said he didn’t think he was ready to get married.

Beautiful wedding photos! I love the one of the flower girls with the bride. 🙂

I agree with you about the costly tuxedo rental. My older son was a ring bearer in my cousin’s wedding when he was 5. We bought a pair of black shoes for him for $10, which saved us $30 of shoe rental (those shoes didn’t fit him anyway).
