I started to think that it sounded as if I was making fun of my dear husband in this post.

By no means was I aiming to do so.  The husband actually proofed my post and edited it.  He thought it was great.

I wanted to clarify this because my ultimate goal in keeping a blog is to encourage others, esp. in their marriage.  I believe God has given me a man and a marriage of ultimate value and I never intend to do anything but uplift my husband and glorify God in all that we do as a couple.  And all we do towards each other.

I truly adore the fact that he is brainy because brains I have not.   It is where the “two shall become one” thing works in my favor.

And I really, really do pray that one of the three kids we call our own will be a “nerd” just like Daddy.  Actually, I hope they not only have brains like my man but also his tender spirit, gentle ways, and passion for the Lord.

I adore my man and I am tickled by some of his quirky and brainy ways.

I love him so.

And isn’t he just so stinkin’ cute?!?!

But I am still baffled by his desire to read textbooks.

I hope he can rub off on my little men too! I would love to be able to speak a second language!

I didn’t think you were going out of bounds in your post at all, I thought it was really lighthearted and funny. Of course, I call my husband a nerd all the time! And my dad- oh my goodness. My dad reads calculus textbooks for fun. And Mike, well, he’s been known to read plenty of nerdy material about science, computers, math, and physics. I suppose it’s a good and decent thing, but still worthy of cracks and jokes!

I am really glad you clarified that. For a minute I thought I was going to have to walk down the street and set you straight. Seriously, you guys are great friends and we have truly enjoyed getting to know you better through our CG.

Oh — I remember that post… how you spoke of your husband fondly… almost jealously. 😉

I wasn’t offended… Thanks for making things clear, though. Shows how big you are.
