Bloggyland goodiness

I never imagined all the goodiness that would come from blogging.  It has been over 16 months since I first posted and I shall say that it has been a magnificent experience.  In the beginning of my blogging days, I explored numerous blogs, searching for whatever-really, I had no idea.  Recently, my lurking days have dwindled and I spend my limited blogging time reading just a handful of blogs.

Blogs that belong to my friends.  And whereas only a couple are truly my real life friends, I call them all friends for various reasons.  Mainly because I spend time getting to know them, reading about them, and even interacting with them.

One such “not real life” friend actually became a “real life” friend just this past weekend.  As you know, the husband had an interview in another state, the one I thought my friend, Pam, lived in.  So, I emailed her and we were able to hook up while the husband was at part 1 of 6 of the interview process.

The day before my scheduled departure, I was chatting with my trainer about my upcoming meeting with this internet friend of mine.  He truly thought it was weird and scary.  He kept asking me if I was scared.  Well, there is nothing scary about Pam besides that grand taste of her cinnamon rolls she brought to me.  In fact, it was so far from scary that we hated to part when the husband called telling me it was time to pick him up.  Bummer.  We chatted about things that seemed so normal to chat about.  I enjoyed my time with Pam immensely.  If the husband does indeed get this job, we will be just an hour and a half from one another so regular meeting will be a must.

I am so glad for the goodiness that blogging has brought to my life.  Pam, it was a joy to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you better in whichever way the Lord allows whether that be living close to each other or via future blogging connections.

You met Pam! I love her – she seems so sweet and I really admire how she’s stayed true to her convictions about frugality and going after her dreams of having her own business. Pam, I hope I get to meet you too someday!

Why, thank you, Anna! I would love to meet you some day too!

(You should have seen the looks I got when I said I was meeting someone I met online!)
