Has it really been that long?

So maybe I lost track of these last few days of summer.  Funny how you think you have all the time in the world.

SOOOOOO much has been going on the past few weeks.  Good stuff.  It seems like I am cramming so many things in before starting work.

Where to begin?

On Thursday, July 30, our sweet son turned 11.  I suspect part of the reason for not posting that is because I am in denial.  ELEVEN.  Our tender young man.  He is such a special guy but is absolutely GOOFY.  I never knew how silly and goofy a boy could be.  He will enter 5th grade in  a week.  We are so proud him, esp. overcoming so many obstacles as a wee lad.  We still have a long road ahead of us, esp. as he enters Middle School, but we trust that God has a huge plan for his life and pray that the Lad chooses to follow the Lord all the days of his life.

Joined some of our Community Group friends for a hot day at Six Flags.  The kids and I had free tickets from the school reading program.  The husband took the day off from work and joined us.  That was a special treat!

Yesterday we took the two oldest kiddos to Sky Ranch.  Pumpkin went last year and the Lad was looking forward to his first time.  He was a little quiet on the way out to camp but he was fairly confident getting settled into his bunk.  One of his counselors went to Zambia last summer and was a counselor at Camp Life just like our boy.  We were all excited about that connection.

Of course I have a thousand things to share but I am in the midst of making supper for a dear friend (her father died while we were on vacation).  I officially start back to work full time on Friday so I am savoring my last few days of summer.  I also have a little gal on the couch waiting to snuggle up with me and watch a movie.  I do believe that is a must.

How long are they at camp (or are they already back?) Little Miss is enjoying the time, I’m sure, but I bet she’s missing the company of her brother and sister.
