Daddy and his girls

The Husband and our girlies attended our church’s annual Daddy/Daughter Dance.  The girls LOVED buying new outfits (accessories and all) for the big shindig.  Pumpkin wanted me to curl her hair and of course Little Miss wanted me to straighten hers.  I just could not do it!  I adore those goldilocks.  I compromised and used the flat iron on her so called bangs.

My brother and his two girlies, Sarah and Jordan, at the dance.  Poor Sarah looks like somebody punched her in the eye.  Could that lobster claw (cast) on my brother’s hand be the cause?  🙂  David was in a wreck a few weeks ago and Sarah had a battle with a window sill.

Here is a cuter pic of the cutest Sarah ever!

Daddy was called on stage for a dance competition.  The reports said that he was AWESOME but Uncle David was just a tid bit MORE awesome.  Show off.

Our Little Miss is quite the dancer.  She took the house with her moves…  So I was told.  Mommas were not allowed to even enter the foyer!!!

What about The Lad and the momma?

We had a date too!  Simple but lovely.  I LOVE my boy!  He chose BJ’s where we worked the Saturday crossword puzzle (from the paper) and watched a bit of the Mav’s game via the hundred screens in the restaurant.  We then came home and watched a movie full of fantasy and mythology.  The Lad was thrilled that I actually watched the whole thing.  As he cuddled up next to me, he kept looking up at me smiling.  Have I mentioned how I loathe all things fantansy and mythological?

May our children know we LOVE LOVE LOVE them but more importantly we want them to know that their Father in heaven loves them more!  Indescribable!!!  I pray that we are showing our children God’s incredible love through our love.

So fun! The girls are beautiful and that’s a sweet picture of you and The Lad. I share your distaste for those kinds of movies; I’m impressed you watched the whole thing. That is love!

Just loved every bit of this post! How the girls have grown since the first daddy-daughter dance – just a wonderful log of a special time in their lives, as well as yours. What fun getting to have a special date evening with the boy!!
