Well, my hope was to get this blog post written before my brain was fried.

I was obviously unsuccessful in that endeavor.

My prayer for my children today is hope.  I remember a college friend told me that when I used the word hope, I was actually claiming that I EXPECTED what I said to occur.

Funny thing….

Years later, I still kinda of believe that.  My friend was referring to the hope we have in Jesus.

Yes, I expect HIM to do as he promises.

No doubts.

He is who He says He is.

He is God.

And if I know anything about God, then why wouldn’t I place my hope in him?

I expect HIM.  I expect perfection.

He will never fail me.

The main hope I have in HIM is that He is my Savior and He will come again.   A definition of hope is “to believe in the future occurrence of something.”  My friend must have visited Mr. Webster too!

I believe He will come again and I have accepted Him so my hope is indeed in eternal life.

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Now I EXPECT to get a good sleep tonight.  Pumpkin and I have to leave the house at 5:25am.  Yes, I said morning.  We have a long day full of field trip fun.  We will return close to 9pm.

A few other facts concerning the Knights…

The husband is still at work finishing up loading one of the containers to ship to Zambia.  It is 10:02pm.

I left the house at 6:20am today to attend an Autism Conference.

The husband leaves for Zambia in 8 days.

Pumpkin just signed up to play volleyball with her school peeps.  It is a city league but they were able to put all of our Sunnyvale girls together.

The husband and I have struggled and struggled to get back on a workout routine.  Getting home from work at 10pm and leaving before 6am presents a time issue.

Little Miss informed me tonight that she is so very very very excited about school tomorrow.  Something about worms eating rotten bananas.  ???

I found a stack of newspapers in the Lad’s room last night.  I was caught in the act of tossing them in the recycling bin.  “No Mom!  That is Superbowl history.”  They remain in his room.

I was assisting the Lad in his math homework last night (Yep, I know, my first mistake).  I was busy making dinner and he was throwing questions at me.  I answered a question incorrectly (a simple one I might add) and he said, “Mom, I thought you went to college.”

Our house is still on the market with NO nibbles whatsoever.  hmmmmmmm………..

I still have not received the results from the ESL certification exam I took 3 weeks ago.  Ignorance is bliss.

I am glad it is almost the weekend.  Sounds funny saying that b/c I have spent only ONE day with my students this week.  I do enjoy breaks from them but I am feeling such a need to be with them and actually teach!!!  I can’t believe I am saying that!  I do LOVE my job.  Being a working mom is the challenge.  I have had two trainings, Monday was a student holiday, and tomorrow I am taking a personal day to escort my daughter on her field trip.  Add 5 snow days in a 2 week time period on top of all of that and you have very few days of instruction.

I am going to bed.  4:45am will come way too early!
